One of my very first jobs in this business was working as an extra on a Verizon shoot. I remember sitting with at least 100 other extras for hours waiting for our call to work as Verizon's "network." We grabbed our hard hats and other props and walked back and forth endlessly to get the shot. I remember telling myself that one day, I would be a principal on a Verizon shoot; and 5 years later it happened. Some people think success happens over night in this industry but thats not the case. It takes years to build your name and portfolio for casting directors to even consider inviting you to their mass castings. Then, if you are lucky you will be cast from a large talent pool for the role. Its a rush and I love every minute of this crazy career!
Every year Rochester, NY holds one of the largest jazz fests in the country. Xerox provided their marketing and I am "Latin Jazz." These billboards are displayed all over the city of Rochester. Pretty cool!
